Opening for SQA With HCL Technologies Ltd.,

1)      Knowledge on quality concepts like PDCA (Deming’s cycle), TQM from renowned Quality gurus like Crosby, Deming, Juran etc

2)      clear articulation / understanding of their current organization’s quality vision / policy

3)      Should have sound knowledge on CMMi v1.2 – Maturity level 3, mandatory (level 5, would be great)

4)      ISO 9001:2008

5)      Must have facilitated SOFTWARE projects min of 4-5, at any given time, to implement Quality processes which are mapped to the above model/standards

6)      Must have facilitated development/maintenance/enhancement/testing projects following life cycle methodologies like Waterfall, Rapid app development (RAD) etc 

7)      Must have done Customization (Tailoring) of quality process to suit projects’ specific needs

8)      Must have identified/implemented Process improvements in the projects based on various inputs / triggers like customer requirements, CSAT scores, project issues, audit NCs, organizational goals

9)      Must have done quality audits extensively (monthly at least 2-3 audits in the current job)

10)   In the recent past, Must have participated / co-ordinate at least 1-2 external audits OR assessments – either as an auditor (or) ATM- Assessment team member (or) FAR group member

11)   Should have good exposure in the following areas

AREA: Metrics analysis & reporting – on metrics like Schedule variance, effort variance, defect density, defect leakage, Cost of quality etc

Tools/ Techniques used : Bar/Pie charts, Trend charts, Pareto diagrams etc

AREA: Basic statistics

Tools/ Techniques used : Usage of Control charts

AREA: Estimation

Techniques : Function point/complexity points/COSMIC/COCOMO techniques of estimation

AREA: CAR (Causal analysis and resolution)

Tools/ Techniques used : Root cause analysis using Fishbone, 5-WHY diagrams, Pareto charts

AREA: DAR (Decision analysis and Resolution)

Tools/ Techniques used : Weighted average, Decision trees etc

AREA: Risk Management

Look for : Knowledge on risk Impact, probability, risk index, Usage of Cost benefit analysis in mitigating risks etc

AREA: Configuration management

Look for: CM Principles, configuration audits

12)   Must have exposure to at least 1 sig sigma project / awareness on DMAIC methodology

13)   Look for involvement in groups like SEPG, Metrics council, interaction with senior management etc

 Should have taken process trainings on the areas mentioned above in point # 10
